Ms. Alma Elizabeth Griffin, age 94, passed away October 17, 2024, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. She was born January 24, 1930, in Hartford, Alabama to the late Cupbert ‘Cup’ Eli Norris and Vassie Elizabeth Wood Norris. In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband Robert ‘Pee Wee’ Griffin, one sister, Talma Ester Scorza, and two brothers, Ben Norris and Billie Paul Norris.
Ms. Griffin is survived by four children, Robert Griffin and wife Patricia of Bonifay, FL, Sheryl Griffin of Panama City, FL, Bill Griffin and wife Bonnie of Ponce de Leon, FL and Greg Griffin and wife Sharon of Bonifay, FL; ten grandchildren, Shawn Gainey, Johnny Gainey, Hayes Griffin, Randy Griffin, Evan Griffin, Alli Griffin, Paul Griffin, Andrew Griffin, Joey Paulk, and Jesse Paulk; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 19, 2024, at New Smyrna Assembly of God Church. Interment will follow in the Bonifay Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 18, 2024, at Peel Funeral Home.
