CHRISTI POWELL



Christi Ermalynn Powell, age 55, of Bonifay, Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 19, 2023, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born February 28, 1968, in Lafayette, Indiana. Christi was preceded in death by her father, Edward Henry Fellers and maternal grandfather, Edward Bartholomew.


Christi's love for Jesus was unwavering throughout her life. Her faith served as a guiding light, illuminating her path and inspiring those around her.


Family was the cornerstone of Christi's existence. She cherished her role as a loving wife, a devoted daughter and sister, a nurturing mother, and a doting grandmother. Her warmth, kindness, and boundless love created a strong and loving family bond that will endure for generations to come.


One of Christi's true passions was her deep affection for all things Disney. Whether she was watching classic Disney movies, visiting the theme parks, or collecting Disney memorabilia, her enthusiasm was infectious and brought joy to all who knew her.


Above all else, Christi was the best "Munkmunk" to her cherished grandchildren. Her playful spirit, comforting embrace, and endless love made her the center of their world. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all her family and friends.


Christi is survived by her husband of 38 years, Roger Powell of Bonifay, FL; two daughters, Lindsey Farmer and husband Brandon and Jezlein Powell both of Bonifay, FL; three grandchildren, Brayden Farmer, Paisley Farmer, and Jaxx Stout all of Bonifay, FL; her mother and stepfather, Sheila Fisher and Victor R. Fisher of Pace, FL; five siblings, Angie Claghorn and husband John of Chipley, FL, Donna Leavins and husband Wilson of Bonifay, FL, Jay Fellers and wife Kim of Samson, AL, Victor L. Fisher of Pace, FL and Riley Fisher of Pace, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.


A funeral service to celebrate Christi's life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 22, 2023, in the Peel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at Peel Funeral Home.
