Mr. Daniel ‘Dan’ Colbert Steffee, age 65, of Graceville, Florida passed away December 11, 2024, at Southeast Health Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. He was born December 11, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio. Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Richard Steffee.
A true culinary enthusiast, Daniel had an unmatched love for cooking, grilling, and smoking meat, delighting family and friends with his delicious creations. His love of food was matched by his talent, and gatherings around his table will be fondly remembered.
Daniel was also a skilled mechanic who enjoyed working on trucks, whether it was fixing them up or just tinkering for fun. His hands were rarely still, always working on his next project.
He had a zest for life that took him traveling to new places, attending festivals, and immersing himself in the magic of renaissance fairs. Daniel’s joy for exploration and community was infectious, leaving a lasting impact on those who shared in his adventures.
Above all, Daniel cherished his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his Pat, and a host of loved ones whose lives were enriched by his warmth and generosity.
Mr. Steffee is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patrice ‘Pat’ Steffee of Graceville, FL; one son, Chris Meldon of Graceville, FL; his mother, Shirley Steffee of Jacksonville Beach, FL; one brother, Doug Steffee and wife Fran of Stuart, FL and their daughters, Alexandra Steffee and Emily Steffee; one sister, Lea Ann Steffee Hall and husband, Tony of Jacksonville Beach, FL.
Daniel will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his incredible talent, and the love he shared with all who knew him.
Memorialization will be by cremation with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.
