JAMES CLYDE CREEL SR.

Mr. James Clyde Creel Sr., age 80, of Caryville, Florida passed away April 3, 2025, at his home.  He was born December 21, 1944, in Jackson, Mississippi to the late Clifton Monroe Creel and Barbara Mae Pitts Creel.  In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by one son, James Clyde Creel Jr. and five siblings, Eugene Creel, Dorothy Toche, Ruth Tanner, Mike Creel, and Mandy Creel.

Mr. Creel is survived by four children, Loir Austin and husband Brent, David Creel and wife Chasity, Katherine Autrey and husband Kenneth, and Tracey Blankenship and husband Clay; six siblings, Dovie Williams, David Creel, Cathy Turner, Tommy Creel, Elvin Creel, and Bill Creel; 16 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2025, at The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of Caryville with Rev. Edward Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in the Caryville City Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory in charge of arrangements.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM Saturday at The Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ of Caryville.
