Mr. Jimmy Jernigan, age 78, of Bonifay, Florida passed away October 2, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born June 2, 1946, in Bonifay, Florida to the late Paul Miller Jernigan and Venera Pate Jernigan. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Marcia June French Jernigan.
Jimmy is survived by his three children, Bobby Jernigan and wife Tiffany, Jamie Jernigan and wife Rehana, and Paula Thompson and husband Scott; nine grandchildren, Balin, Alia, Harleigh, Hemingway, Yasmine, Qasim, Siobhan, Xander, and Kaitlin; two brothers, Michael Jernigan and Larry Jernigan and wife Linda; one sister, Jerrie Casey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home and Bonifay Crematory directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church.
