Marvys Shannon Boswell, age 79, of Bonifay, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on February 11, 2025, at his home. Marv was born on January 22, 1946, in a home off 177A in Bonifay, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus and Lois Crutchfield Boswell; two of his siblings, JC Boswell and RV Boswell; and by marriage, Shirley King Griffin (JW), Jimmy King, and Ricky Treadwell. He is survived by his siblings: Tommy Boswell (Josephine), Walter Boswell (Essie), Alta Boswell Grubbs (Franklin), Delton Boswell, and his sister by marriage, Pam King Treadwell.

After completing his education, Marv began his career and later joined the Boilermakers Union, working in industrial construction. His work took him across the country, contributing to large-scale projects like Farley and others.

Marv is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sandra King Boswell, and their two children, Rebecca Elaine Boswell Brown (Keith) and Jeffrey Marvys Boswell (Lydia), as well as his daughter, Sharon Lambert (John). Above all, Marv was devoted to his family and took great pride in his grandchildren: Katherine Elaine Brown, Kylee Suzanne Boswell, and Graham Keith Brown.

He and Sandy attended First Baptist Church as long as their health allowed. Marv was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite.

The family deeply appreciates the prayers and support from friends and loved ones during this time. A special thank you goes to CenterWell, Emerald Coast Home Health & Hospice, Stethoscope Staffers, and Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay for their compassionate care throughout his illness.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Carmel Assembly of God Church, 1485 Carmel Church Road, Bonifay, Florida 32425. Interment will follow in the Carmel Assembly of God Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM at Carmel Assembly of God Church.

Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to a charity or organization of choice.
